I have not yet connected to World of Trucks, just been doing all sorts of cargo from within the game. Do you see others players when connected and what other stuff is there

When you connect your game to the WoT account on first sight nothing changes to your game. Only new thing is, you can get missions over WoT now from the third button. At this moment you're still alone on the map, no other players, only NPC.
When you want to play together with others you have to install the WoT mod. This changes a lot in the game and it's irreversible for your installation. When you don't want to play with others anymore you have to uninstall the complete game and get a whole new and clean installation.
