CAMMUS’ 15NM Wheel Base Offers Unmatched Performance at a Surprisingly Low Price

CAMMUS, a new manufacturer in the simracing market. Has recently launched its 15 Newton-metre DDWB, which is of course the central product of its growing range. The CAMMUS Direct Drive Base 15NM (DDWB) is priced at $499 for the base alone. $698 for the base and the steering wheel. $899 for the complete package with the 3-pedal set. The base can be bought directly from CAMMUS. With shipping costs, tax, and also customs duties added for shipment to the EU.

Mounted via the side on the underside

The wheel base is packaged securely in a black cardboard box. And also comes with four screws, including washers for mounting, and a power supply unit. It can be mounted either via the side or via four threads on the underside. The holes do not follow any current “standard” of larger manufacturers. So it is likely that new holes will have to be drilled for mounting.

Compatible with PC only

The Wheel Base from CAMMUS is natively compatible with the PC only. According to CAMMUS, it is fully compatible with Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, F1 22, and iRacing. With full support of the force feedback. The Wheel Base can also be operated with the in-house software, which can be updated via the software. The app is available for Android and iOS. And also the base can be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth to make settings via one’s mobile phone.

Maximum force of 15 Newton metres

The most important aspect of the Wheel Base is its maximum force of 15 Newton metres. Also the force feedback conveys a lot of detail. The base comes with a whole handful of buttons. Including five buttons, two rotary encoders, one two-way toggle switch, and one latching two-way toggle switch. The base also has an adjustable spring, return force, power, drift mode, ffb strength, sensitivity, and suspension impact force.
