Yesterday ATS and ETS2 got huge updates, that changed both games to version 1.31.

Main changes in ATS are:
- new road through the Yosemite (Highway CA120) from California to Nevada
- new trailers

Main changes in ETS2 are:
- random road events known from ATS are now in Europe, too
- new 8x4 Scania R and S truck chassis
- new routes for special transport DLC missions

In addition to this there are some minor changes and bugfixes. Complete changelog of the update can be seen here:

And obviously they took the release as reason to make some special offers. Both of the main games are currently available for only €4.99, the DLCs are between 20% and 75% off.

Can these truck sims be played off-line.

I downloaded the Euro Demo from Steam. Its okay but the graphics are not very good at all, like going back to sims of 10 years ago - lol

It seems to me its all about staying in the middle of the roadway lane. the scenery not that good either what there is of it. Its a pity that you can't drive using google maps street view, would be great then.

Agreed on that, overal it's not all that and a bag of chips.
Game play isnt that sweet either, it's in my opinion mostly
for truckers that like this sort of stuff.
What annoyed me the most is getting speed tickets all the time
when you go over the speed limit and if not you go sooooo slow it
tends to make you sleepy.
It's not all bad, but it's in no way, shape of form anything most of us will
like to do and cruising around in big rigs isnt very funny to do either.

So unless your a trucker, or really bored with the other driving games it's not for you.
If you do enjoy this, might i direct you to "city driving" too?
kinda like a pre-driving simulator to teach you how to drive and follow
driving rules?

I purchased the Euro bundle, so I can have a drive around when I get bored with TC.

May go bankrupt as I borrowed a 100K from the game bank to buy a Merc truck and have done no jobs to pay it back - lol - Lots of speed tickets

If you have problems getting some fast money I can recommend you a mod from the workshop. With that you can transport some high paying weed cargo I don't know the exact name from the workshop, but when you search the workshop with "cannabis" then you should find it. It's a standalone trailer that will be added to the game (no replacement).

Maybe there is a MOD to disable "getting speed tickets" all the time ?

Would be nice if you go faster and then get a warning peep from your radar warning from time to time. Like in Test Drive

You can turn them off in the settings

The warning like back in the days of Test Drive is a nice idea, but doesn't really work in the game. There are not many static speed traps. Most of the tickets you get when you are too fast and coincidentally a cop car is nearby.
