D Derby update and Key Mapping

Post by JustBe »

Since the DD update I cannot get the Key Mapping to work under the General tab for LOOK BACK. All other keys work okay on the General tab and all the other tabs.

No matter what key I use it will not work for the cars, but strange thing is I have noticed it works for the aircraft and boats :angry-banghead:

I fixed my look back key by unbinding the other keys it was bound to. Simple change it to something else and it will work, at least it worked for me.

I have looked thru all of my key bindings, and the key I use for LOOK BACK is only used for that.

Tried several other keys and none work with the cars or bikes, yet still work with aircraft and boats.

After installing my button box. I was not able to set some functions.
I just was not able to put it to my box.

Then I reset all button settings and set everything new.

Lot to do, but it worked.

Okay I reset everything, now I can look back with the cars and bikes, but cannot in the aircraft or boats.

This is just stupid, there must be a bug after they gave each type a key mapping setup.

Maybe you have to reset everything. Cars boat Plane ect. Before you can start setting your buttons ?

Another way would be to delete what's in your TDU2 folder ?

Go take a look at C:\Users\........\Documents\The Crew 2

There are a lot of binding files like... Bindings_Keyboard.xml

Try to move all of them to a new folder and then start the game and reset your buttons.

Good look

As a last resort that's what I have done.

Removed the files as you suggested C:\Users\........\Documents\The Crew 2

Started game and re-mapped all the keys - ALL WORKING hehe

Thanks for your help :text-thankyoublue:

I had the problem that my keys where not working.

To be exact, I had Nitrous and looking back on my shifter pedals on my wheel.
But they just did not work. Confusingly they worked when I was in a race :P

But I found the reason why they did not work after all.

There was just shifting up and down set up in ground vehicles set to my pedals.

So when you have issues, just make sure you dont have an double seizure on your buttons.
