rFactor 2 Roars into 2023 with New DLC and Update!

rFactor 2, the popular racing simulator, has just released its Q1 2023 update and DLC, which includes a new car, track, and various improvements. The update includes the Honda Civic Type R, which has taken the British Touring Car Championship by storm, racking up no less than nine victories in 2021 and seven more in 2022. The new car comes complete with all the teams, drivers, and liveries from both seasons, making it an exceptionally popular addition to the game.

Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit

Another highlight of the update is the Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit, which has been built on the most recent laser-scan data, ensuring an authentic visual experience for players. The track is a testament to how street circuits can be both highly challenging and exceptionally rewarding for drivers, with just 11 distinct corners and surrounding areas that include a fountain section and a long and fast blast down the coastline drive lined with palm trees.

Change to the core fundamental code of rFactor 2

The update also features a massive change to the core fundamental code of rFactor 2, which allows players to race against content they don’t own, significantly enhancing the user experience for players. With these changes, players can now race in a field of unique cars without the need to own them, making the game more accessible to everyone.

Honda Civic Type R

The Q1 2023 update is a little more petite in terms of content drops than we’ve become used to in recent months, but the introduction of the superb Long Beach Grand Prix Street Circuit and the Honda Civic Type R, along with a wealth of code improvements, fixes, and additions, ensure that players will have plenty of things to do, explore, and enjoy as part of this new update build.
